But the car Lee is looking at is a different kettle of fish-430 Fezzer engine for a start.
Lovely looking car - and I'd imagine the Ferrari V8 makes it sound as good as it looks. But I think you'd have to take a worst-case scenario when budgeting for depreciation, and if it DOES turn out to be the exception to the rule, all well and good. I certainly wouldn't bank on it though.
I think the Masser 4200 is gorgeous.
Follow one home quite a lot and it sounds great, but I can hear the clunky slow gear changes!
I am not a huge fan of the convertible, but love the coupe in black and white. It's so different and unique to anything else out there.
It's a top choice in motor, but I would never dare buy one. They are cheap in the used car market for a reason!

I don't think it will buck the trend, I've even built a spreadsheet showing trade and private advertised price differences for all the 3200GT Coupes, 4200GT Coupe and all Spyders advertised on PH. The coupes sell for less and don't seem to hold their money as well, factoring in a retail markup and the fact one or two cars are advertised as quick sale and mention the p/ex price I can get a good idea of expected depreciation.
If you bought a new one you would still lose over 15k in retail markup in the first 12 months. This one is a year old and has covered less than 6k http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/159614.htm it would have originally sold for over 65k and Dick Lovett will have at least 5k in it.
I have definitely spent too much time with actuaries.....

I say go for your dreams Lee.
I would be the first to pat you on the back if you buy a car from a dealer called Dick Lovett.
It proves you're confident in your sexuality
