Help me
And it's all Nissans fault!!!!
As some of you may know, i'm looking to get back into an S since my "incident" last year and subseqent life upheavel.
Two weeks ago my mind was set, booked and had a test drive in a new S2000. I enjoyed it immensely, the car felt, well you all know how the car felt. Deal done or so you'd think.
Yesterday I had a test drive in a new 350z
Oh My God
I wont go into a great write up on vehicle dynamics and how wonderfully poised the car felt and how it had an engine/exhaust note to die for, because quite frankly i'm crap at it.
But Oh My God, what a vehicle, me and Kelly were giggling like a couple of school kids on the test drive. Even the test drive in the S didnt induce any sort of giggle factor for me, perhaps it was down to the weather, perhaps it was down to knowing exactly what to expect, I dont know.
But now im in a quandry and I find myself asking the question
Do I want an S2000 that badly?
I think it's a case of been there done that and I fancy a change, screaming 4 pots are all very well but I've had them the last six odd years, time to move on?
I have a second extended test drive booked for next Sunday in the Z, I plan to approach it without the rose tinted specs and try and pick fault with the car as a day to day prospect, if I can.
Helpme fellow s2kier's, I want to enjoy european topdown motoring, to go out in the middle of a summer night with the roof down, i dont want to be wanting for more power and cursing the need for a downshift though.
Help !!!!!!!

Firstly, can you answer a question.
Is there any reason why you are looking at new cars.
I might change my reply based on this.
Good to see you back anyway
I have some mental scars from your incident.

Not looking to buy brand new specifically, it's just the test drives have both been in new demonstrators.
The Z i'm taking out next week is the 06 model ie the old engine as oposed to the revised 07 VQ35HR I took out yesterday, which will be more indicative of the model I'll be buying - or not as the case may be.
If you really like it that much, then buy it!
BTW, the only Renault influence in the car seems to be Nissan's slide towards the bottom of the JD Power customer satisfaction survey. It's as french as okonomi yagi.

I know what your saying Nick, but I still want to do the top down thing as well, ideally i'd have both, but I haven't the funds. I've already suggested Kelly sell the Swift and get an S
That needless to say, didnt go down to well.
There is no way in hell i'd even consider the Z roadster.
