I've driven a Z cab and I really liked it (although needed a decent exhaust on it).

I think life is too short to worry too much about depreciation etc., and if you really really love it, just do it !

The s2000 is crap, a test drive in a Z will highlight this!

No seriously though, Id have the Z over the S any day if money wasnt a problem - I far prefer the larger engine, bags of torque and great handling - drove one round Bedford autodrome - loved it to bits! - Owned an S at this time and felt cheated when I drove it home!

Get the Z.

The new engine (it's 80% new) is awesome by all accounts. A very fast car that is clocking some mid to low 13 quarter miles.

It is faster than the S and with all the improvements, it is a very good car.

The things that worry me about 350Z:
- Depreciation, high tax band and high fuel consumption, plus how long until it is replaced?
- Nissan dealers - has anyone ever come across a good one?
- The roadster is a bit of a minger... a tad lardy too.

I really love them, had the previous version for a few days and thought it was great fun. I am going to get a test drive of the new one in a couple of months.

I test drove a Z 18 months back and I liked it, although it did feel very heavy. Now they are even better though

Go for it , good cars IMO

I did have something through the post a while back to have one for the weekend but I never replied to it .

If it makes the pair of you happy then get it. That's how I felt with the S and the 350Z is the only other car I would contemplate at the moment.

I believe the Z is better at resisting understeer at altitude , so I
would choose that over the S.
