Default The Honda S660

just been reading up on this, an actual new "sports" car honda intend on putting into production
they call it “an open-top sports-type mini-vehicle”. At first i was quite excited by it, as all new honda's now are boring & economical. Then i read up on it a bit more

Not a massive fan of the looks, but suppose its what to be expected of honda these days, reminds me of a peugeot rcz slightly.

Read up on it here > S660 Info

It's meant to be very light, less than a tonne,
but also the engine is supposedly going to be a 660cc 3 potter turbo! What a joke, i hate modern cars

What's your opinions guys?

What's the kerb weight? If less than a tonne, how much I wonder. That looks like (on a driver level) a complete waste of time. It's looks OK but weight dependant will be like winding up a 2cv. What is the point in that car?

Sub 1,900lb (900kg) according to the article linked.

It's really a new Honda Beat and here's the original thread on it https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/105...vered-in-sewer

"open-top sports-type mini-vehicle", so no roof at all then? That'll work well in the UK, NOT!

I can see where this is going, "New Honda mini sports car bombs, Honda decide never to produce another sports car".

Sort of reminds me of the Ford street-KA in concept, that didn't last long.

To sum up my mini review.............. PANTS!

Small, cheap, light, fun with a little bit of nip. Needs more than the 64hp quoted though. Could be good, I'm listening...

Still, too sensible imo!

Theres talk that the us version will be a 1.0 turbo. The sheer power that thing will have will be unbelievable .

And i'd actually never heard/seen a honda beat before, does look a spitting image of the thing pretty much, not sure how some are calling it the next s2k though :/

Yeah, the RoW version is an S1000 apparently, and wider-arched.

Next S2000 will be similar, but based on the larger NSX plank with a CTR lump amidships.

I would like to try the original Beat, if I had the space.
