Honda create the new CTR with just over 300bhp in 2015

Just read the new Fooki will have 350bhp on launch next year

Amazing really. When i was a driver of these cars mine had 154bhp albeit it was not as fat

My M3 is looking underpowered now!

Yes but whilst you weren't as fat then, neither were the cars.

That Focus will weigh in at 1500kg so it's going to need 350bhp!

Personally, I don't give a stuff about who can drag along the dual carriageway best. If I did, I'd buy an S1000RR/Hayabusa and trounce everything...YAY!!

You need a nice feedback and the car needs to be a nice place to be.

I just don't care about all this horsepower sh1t any more.

Bikes p1ss on everything for straight line performance so it becomes pointless for cars to enter the equation.

I like cars for how involved they make you feel, the noise they make etc

Yes they have to have a bit of power but I don't see it as the headline figure that it once was.

The roads during rush hour are completely clogged so I don't see the need to have a daily driver with that type of performance either.

A car is special because it is. It may have 100bhp or 1000bhp but you should just enjoy it anyway.

If you buy a car for the power, it'll only ever be a disappointment.

RS apparently has a "drift" setting for the stability control. Basically switches the stability control to the reverse by the sounds of the description (i.e. feed more power to the spinning wheel)

Was reading about this and the new Corsa VXR the other day. It explains why GT86's don't sell when they can be beaten in a traffic light grand prix by a Corsa.......and for most people that is all they will ever look at

agree. I drove a 140bhp Caterham earlier this year and it was the most fun i've had in a car in ages.

Need to get myself one

Ultra light and ultra nimble is the formula for fun. That feeling when the tyres moan as you push into a corner so hard that it wants to go forward instead or around. Fab that assuming you miss the hedges.
