I could do with some comments I think

It's raining torrentially here, and the road I was turning out of a junction into was flooded. There was a car to my right a good 50m away (this is a 30 zone) so I pulled out, knowing full well the Elise will be able to pull a gap no problem. I slowed for the flooding to see the Land Rover mount the kerb, hammer past and cover the car in water. I thought I would just overtake him agian and be done with it, but he thinks otherwise.
To be honest I would have let you slam into the back of my solid 4x4 with your fibre glass car also.
So you have a faster car, so what, with the road conditions his was obvioulsy more suited to the conditions.

Now I don't know about anyone else, but "giving way" on a mini roundabout doesn't apply when the nearest vehicle with right of way is some 6 or 7 car lengths away does it?
You may be in the right, but your experience and judgement kicks in and you give way to him. That's my approach usually.

I think it most definitely does G
and pulling out in a sports car is inviting trouble from someone who knows they will be in the right in the event of a collision
his/her speed is pretty irrelevant tbh
you should wait unless you can be certain you won't force them to change speed/direction to accomodate you
I do sympathise - it's part of the politics of envy and spite that seem very commonplace
but I would be mad if you forced me to brake when it was my right of way

I almost suggested he sped up, but that was probably my mind playing tricks on me. No one would be that aggressive and self righteous, surely...

Yeah I see your point and I know I should have been more aware of his speed. I (rashly) assumed he'd be doing the limit seeing as there's a school about 100 metres away behind him and there'd be plenty of time for me to cross over and join the main road.
Well Done Mate, from stopping yourself that is! The situation would be much worse this evening had you battered the sh*te out of him.
He knew exactly what he was doing, hardly the actions of a defensive driver was it? Yes in hindsight you may've made a mistake, but his deliberate provocation & further dangerous driving is indefensible.
Anyway, sounded like a mis-match to me, stopped in the first round!

Do all of the motorcyclists a favour graham and post your reg number

In truth, I am usually careful and will generally defer to other road users. However, this guy was well beyond the distance from a mini roundabout that you'd judge it safe to carry on, if he was doing 30. It was only because I misjudged his speed that I went ahead and crossed it but the attitude from the guy was somewhat over the top, I thought.
Actually, a lot of poor sods end up anchoring up for me in the Prelude;
They seem to be labouring under the misapprehension that I would slow down for roundabouts.
So I do have to make allowance for them.
Funny though how the world is divided (unequally) into those who hold their hand up when they make a mistake & those who throw a tantrum. The latter is, I believe, on the increase.
Also, remember a lot of people buy 4x4s for the sense of security they desperately want.

He was obviously an arse so why didn't you just leave it at that and let him carry on with his way.

As I said in my post I will not rise to the bait in future.
