Inside Rolls Royce
Tonight I managed to watch the recording of the Channel 4 show 'Inside Rolls Royce'...
I'd be interested to see the views of other's who have watched it, but I couldn't help think that this show provided the proof this once great British brand has unequivocally been sacrificed at the altar of more money than taste.
The 'Celestial' special, with its 25 carats of embebbed diamonds and fibre-optic roof lining was on a par with the naff-ness of Homer Simpson's Canyonero.
Lots of interesting exterior colours were shown, but I was disappointed that the availability of upholstery in whale's prepuce was not available...

I agree, switched off after the guy was telling the camera he spent 100k on extras and named the colour after his wife... jyst so he coukd know that when he pulls up alongside a fellow RR, he has the best one...
Money cant buy taste proven beyond reasonable doubt...

"At midnight on January 1st 2003 the first Phantom glided off the production line at the Home of Rolls-Royce. It was the start of a new chapter and to celebrate this momentous occasion, a decade later we have created the Celestial Phantom.
The only motor car of its kind, the Celestial Phantom celebrates the beauty of Rolls-Royce craftsmanship. To honour the special point in time when the first Phantom was created, the headlining features hundreds of tiny LEDs meticulously configured to represent the star-filled sky exactly as it was in Goodwood on January 1st in 2003."

It was quite cringe-worthy the marketing director's ernest reverence of this vehicle's concept. I suppose it keeps people in work...

I guess the cars are selling though which is good and RR clearly know their market.
Its just a shame that their market is classless now.
The true gent would always get a Bentley over a RR anyway.
