Default ITR DC5 prices

So I was looking to upgrade the Doris' car, and she said she a DC5 would be nice...

I though, probably 8k would get a good one.

That was based on me selling a really nice blue low mileage one about 2 1/2 to 3 years ago, for 10k.

They are bloody fetching the same money now, and more!

What's going on?

A lot of the second hand market seems high atm?

Mark, it's because the Yen is so strong at the moment. JDM imports are so much more expensive than they were a few years ago. This has kept secondhand prices high.

I bought my grade 5A 2k mile facelift DC5 for £14.5k (when it was 250 Yen to the Pound). I sold it almost two years later with 10k miles on for £14k (when it was about 150 Yen to the Pound).

Chris.

Interesting.

I just looked on the DC5 forum and prices seem much more reasonable than PH.

There have been a few nice ones for sale recently at sub £8k.

That's a nice one, has a few cosmetic issues that require sorting but on the whole a sound car.

Pity oversize wheels weren't in vogue when it was designed; would look more authentic with skinny 15" wheels.

Great pastiche though!
