Possible requirement for dry sumpage is initially driven by ground clearance issues - the F20C does hang very low in these sorts of applications. Then I need to consider oil surge / starvation, if I stick with the wet sump.

I've been trawling the Competition forum to see what's cropped on from a racer's viewpoint, on slicks etc, and still haven't yet really detected a consensus as to whether there's a significant potential surge issue with the sump as it stands, except perhaps on really, really long corners with a really, really grippy set up. So baffling might do...

I'm sure this will be the subject of a further thread, once I've decided what I'm doing sump-wise (dry/baffled/Accu).

I know someone who's spent 10 years putting a Rover V8 into a caterham. It's innovative, shall we say

Dry sump IS your only option, since the F20 is a bit surgy/overheaty on the track and GC IS a major issue. So is underbonnet space & the oil filter is right where your steering column wants to be.

Looks like a work in progress (the site and the car) but might be helpful:

Yep, already been in touch through the Owner's Club forum There are now 4 F20C Rushes on the go there, if you include my as-yet unstarted one. So plenty of helpful hints available from those further down the line.

If I've got to dry-sump (one of the guys is currently wet-sumped - so I'm watching his clearances with interest!), I'm thinking of looking at the ARE Dry Sump kit as an alternative to theRED kit , although I haven't seen an actual installation of it yet. There was this on the Competition forum, but it doesn't look very refined, and looks like generating a whole new set of clearance issues!
