The direction might be down to how the Jaguar on the bonnet appears from a UK pavement when it pulls up to park.

I also notice that the Puma in the Puma logo also jumps right to left...

Jaguar are correct. It's a hungry jaguar. The direction of jump is to catch the prey: badge @ lower left.

Does look slightly, odd ,strange really why it should . Perhaps because the emblem points to the upper right of the picture ! I the reversed photo .
The rear look better than the average jelly mould of an Audi . Oh there I go knocking Audi again, nasty aren't I

I am intrigued by these as a family waft tbh

I think MB has caused disruption in my brain going from a GT3 to a RRS and liking the latter more

Plus my dalliances with the law, i see myself in cruise at 85 with Wonderful World playing on the B&F hifi...

Hmmm

Whilst trying to determine the origin of the 'Leaper' direction, I found this image showing the old versus new Jaguar logo. IMHO the old logo's typeface was vastly superior and really reflected the Jaguar brand; the new typeface looks as though a designer decided to have a laugh and bought a selection of self adhesive chrome plastic letters from Halfords.

The old logo really says 'premium'. The new one would, ironically, be more appropriate for 'Granada'...

It's always going to look odd, mainly because Jags are fast cars driven by mindless old farts. The only time they use the accelerator is when you need to overtake them, otherwise it's 30mph on twisty roads and 70 on the straight bits. I don't give a cuss what the logo looks like, just get them off the road.

There is that!

Hopefully, the XE will get some younger thrusters in there, who would have otherwise bought German shite.

The previous model only really was bought by those for whom a Rover 75 was too stylish and who mourned the demise of the Orion Ghia.
