Fantastic quali session! A big well done to two of the Brit drivers, who really showed their class today

Let's hope for similar conditions for the race, should be very exciting

I think Alonso may well be stuffed now

There is so much vitriol in the team, and so much bad blood between personalities, that I suspect he will be nobbled

What price an engine failure in this race?

I things the odds of nobbling increase now that a Mclaren driiver championship win is a virtual certainty

I hope I'm wrong......

Even if I am, expect some kamikaze stuff while it lasts

I thought it was the most dull quali this season. The editing was nothing short of shocking, and most of the first two sessions were hacked to bits. No press conference either.

I'm recording the live race in the morning to ensure I don't get a similarly hacked race build up.

Hamilton did very well there it has oto be said, but don't discount Alonso or Raikkonen. Massa rarely does well in the wet, so I put him own for finishing 4th, assuming he doesn't crash.

Button once again proving his class in the rain. Just a shame he doesn't have a faster car to show what he can do all season long. He is looking like he's in with a good shout for Alonso's seat from recent gossip.

Yeah I wished I'd recorded the live programme as the 10am didn't show all the action.

Hopefully it'll rain, which will make things a little more entertaining. It's no Suzuka, but it seems like an okay track.

I think there's now zero chance of Ralf being in a Toyota next year, not that there was much of one.

It makes watching an occasion, having getting up in the dark, the stillness & solitude of a front room not yet warmed up, & crashing out on the sofa with fresh toast and coffee to hand. Early morn blokey stuff.
The top ups during the adverts., and come the chequered flag & with weather permitting my own imaginary racing Honda will be wheeled out, pre-drive checked, hood furled, CD selected, seat belt on, instruments scanned, engine fired up, trickle through the village waiting for temperatures and pressures to reach optimum levels then away for a mega blast through hill and dale, on dual carriageway and sweeping rural ride, before letting all cool down for the gentle last mile in time for a second breakfast.

Or... get bored with the inevitable procession & big buck whingeing of a sport that is no longer a sport washing its dirty linen in public, and go back to zzzzzzzzzzzz

That much coffee can't be good for you. I never watch any races live now just so I can zap the adverts.

Recorded it earlier and just watching the race now. PMSL at Mark Webber's comment live on ITV.

Bet that won't make the edited highlights...

EDIT: Don't follow the link unless you already know the race outcome. Wouldn't want to spoil anything.
