Default Just fitted this :)

I wanted the Scoob to sound like a proper scoob again - the 2.5's seem to have lost that trademark burble.

Didn't want anything to make your ears bleed, and didn't want a baked bean can stuck to the back of the car

Went for Hayward & Scott centre section (straight through, usually there's a huge silencer), and Backbox. Tailpipe is 4in but the rest is the standard size (2 or 2.5in?).

I wasn't expecting the difference to the characteristic of the car but Im' pleasantly surprised - the big surge on-boost is gone for a more progressive spool lower down. Means less gear changing and a smoother ride Sounds too

I wanted to do the fitting myself but found my girlie arms weren't strong enough to undo bolts so Chris did all the hard labour

Before:

After (flaps were fitted just before JAE):

Nice one Jo. You have managed to actually belittle all the work I did to fit it. Thanks.

lol

messing around and fitting exhausts is a pig at the best of times, I / me and my old man did 2 s2000s and 1 scoob. He said he wont do any more!

I never noticed much change in performance on the scoob on the bb and centre - BUT it is worth it for the noise every time.

Get those bloody cats out, then youll know what its all about (downpipe is the real trick)

Er how have I belittled it

I wasn't expecting such a big change its weird. It was fairly easy to fit (no I'm not belittling it!) It was a pig to undo some of the bolts, but at least the exhaust fit with no jiggling etc.

i always fancied a hayward and scott on my old scoob but eventually went for a scoobyclinic system on my blobeye.

i was always led to believe the loss of burble on the 2.5 engine is due to the use of equal length headers!

Yep its because of the headers being a different design.

An aftermarket system just accentautes the mild burble which is still there on the 2.5

I prefer the new sound.

I had HKS unequal lenght headers on my last scoob and it was a bit more rally rather than the really offbeat noise...
