the torque figure is 133 - so down 20 on the sadly lacking S2000
Yeah but for torque we have the scooby, for precision we have the 7, for go kart thrills we have the elise and for the shopping we have the mondeo.

That reminds me of a conversation I overheard in my local the other night.

Group of work colleagues & partners I think, talking about cars, and one bloke reeled off a similar list - 4 cars between 2 people.

One particularly vacuous bint started off on one about the usual carbon emissions and all that and was JUST getting into her stride when the bloke's missus (I assumed) cut in with "How many do you think we drive all at once?".

Perfectly timed it was and I couldn't help sniggering into my beer.

On the subject of go karts there is a new track open in Camberley which is pretty damn good but for real fun and races I'm thinking of doing some club 100 karting

no wonder all those diesels are faster

as if.....
Quite. The Elise has better pickup than the S2K in every gear, despite that lower torque figure, thanks to the miniscule weight. I pay no mind to torque figures though.

As you say, the only downside of a less torquey motor is being caught in the wrong gear, which if you were awake in the first place, shouldn't happen.
