Hehehe !!!

It absolutely bucketed it down ! I had to pull over as I couldn't see anything at all - windscreen wipers work fine, but glasses, visor and inside ofwindscreen were running with water ! Inches of it in the footwell, and every time a car went past on the other side of the road, a river flooded into the car ! It was GREAT !!!

Sounds familiar..

All you need to do is lose the windscreen/wipers and get a helmet

Gotta helmet already

I quite like the windscreen though, but I do have some full heigh doors to help with the stuff blowing in from the side !

I keep being told I will abandon the windscreen in favour of the aeroscreen though !

Give one a go and see what the difference is. For a taller driver (like me) it was black and white.

I have been in cars with them (and I'm quite tall, but not as tall as you!), but I don't want to wear a helmet every time I go on the road...

We'll see what happens but I've other more pressing things to spend money on, I'll add it to the list

Anybody know how much warming up they need? I assume I'll need to keep them warm on the motorway for those "i need to brake heavily" moments - anybody know how often to drag the brake pedal a bit??
You sheould be able to feel and even hear when they're up to temp. When cold braking will be smooth and useless. When up to temp they should be rough and aggressive.

Doesn't Kelk have the same routine in his 111R or is mine just special?

You don't need the helmet every time you go out, only when a) it's raining or b) you want to drive REALLY quickly to get a paper. The rest of the time (up to about 60/70 in the dry) sunglasses are fine. Small rocks excepted.
