I taxed mine last night and gave it a wee run today, it was nice to be out in the sun, not a lot of vtec since the roads I picked were narrow and twisty, and populated with sheep and cyclists, very surprised to see a little bit of snow on the hills in the distance.

Same here. Been SORN'd since November. Run it on the forecourt a few times. All seems well battery-wise (CTEK) tyres down a psi or two.
Did manage to get into VTEC a couple of times but tomorrow I will take a longer spin to collect a WC from Fakenham Screwfix

There is talk of not extending the MOT anniversary but I plan to keep to the existing date in any case.

S was done 11th March before lockdown, other one is an Oct date iirc. Did enjoy the BM off to GSF, only cos the climate works unlike the nissan

My mot is now due in October but I may just do it a bit earlier, as long as the mot is after the road tax renewal I’ll be happy, maybe get it it done early August before the September rush.

I disconnect the battery and use some tyre savers plus additional pressure. It's not moved since the end of October.

It started first time without any sort of hesitation and all seems well, though I was getting a lot of brake smells at one point, perhaps because I was following a Tesla? The front nearside did seem hot when I paused to fit a new phone holder but all seemed well when I got home. I may inspect further over the weekend of one evening.

Booked in for a service and MOT on the 15th. the MOT was due in April, and it's always a pain that driving it to the test centre was always the first drive. This'll make things a lot more convenient.

Yep sync'ing the MOT and SORN is all important. What the hell have we come to eh

edit:
my theory is to avoid stress get the MOT done shortly before (fixing and) putting it into hibernation.
Then if summat comes up when you re-awaken sleeping beauty you've got all summer to worry fiddle around and fix it up

Took the BM for a service today.. just booked the basic service.

They take the key and read what the car says it needs rather than following a schedule. Lo and behold it needs silly price cabin filters.

No thanks. They have done 4k ffs!

So, rode back, will collect later. Kumkwat in for Aircon tomorrow

edit car back, all done.. still air in there somewhere and it does need an mot soon. Spongey a fail? Will have another pop

ISTR the blue brake fluid being a knob to get through the ABS pump / resevoir .... can't remember if BMW suffer from that or whether it was my old Seat Leon. They used a machine to get around it i think.

@Nottm_S2 main thing is to re-set the computer service dates so come sale time you don't get embarrassed by some keyboard warrior. I got a hack from the cutters site. Brake fluid is notoriously susceptible to absorbing moisture over time which impairs performance so hence why it features. As you say, get bleeding (whatever that is in German ).
