Good points fest, need to try one as do I.

I think you have to think "it's a race car, there are no creature comforts" then all that stuff won't annoy

Got home last night and there was an almighty clanking noise from the back of my BM. Stones in disc shield of back brakes . Then I noticed a tick from the engine, glad I renewed the warranty

The trick to getting in and out is to slide the seat back all the way.

This frees up some extra room and makes it a hell of a lot easier.

Of course this only works on the driver's side as the passenger seat doesn't move.

Thanks for the advice. I definitely don't want another s2000,not because they are not worthy because the s was the best, most complete fun car that I have owned but because I had a great fun 4 years and despite only putting 11k on it, really knew that car... So I want something new. In light of advice given here, I was looking at big old audi estates at the dealership on Saturday and I thought, what is the point in spending 25k on one of these old estate lumps when I have an estate and could buy something really fun for weekends only. Really don't care about sparse interior and bone shaking, that should add to the experience.

And... If I hate it, I'll sell it. It all about getting a good one that I an shift on should it not be for me. It is the first time in years I am truly excited to find and Get one. I should have noticed that alarm bell with the rs4. I was even bothered when collecting it. The most fun I had was polishing it.

There's loads of typos above but I think you all understand. RS4 bored me. Seek fun.

You've come to the correct conclusion, Colin.

You're making the 'automotive love affair' noises, so you've probably picked the right car. If you dislike the Elise, then sell it.

Some people use them as a daily driver, but that's probably called masochism. You need to use it on special days, to keep it special.

Generally, a lot of Lotus converts end up keeping and upgrading them. Hence Lotus is nearly bust, whereas Porsche owners keep getting suckered back by this year's pointless upgrades.

I think I'd have to have a K20 conversion. The other K-Series isn't as bad as its rep, but it sounds like a bag of nails and the cog box is a bit unspecial, IIRC.

But the car is very special to drive.

Have you tried sitting in one Colin ? IIRC you're quite tall. When I sat in one it seemed quite snug. Kelk111r (Mr Dreamer) used to have one.

I am sort of in agreement. Maybe the subdued colour rule does not apply to this car.

Prefer gunmetal but anything is fair game.

My S1 was Azure blue. Truly stunning once detailed. The only car I ever cried over when I sold it.
