Default LOTUS

Got round to doing the heater resistor pack on the Elise.
Its a well known common fault.

Means removing the front 'clam'. I used Karens dads garage
for a few days.

Sorry for the big pics!

Russ.

You can see it Gaz sat on the fan/blower, its corroded at the terminals.

This sits underneath against the 'floorpan' where water collects under
the slats forward of the windscreen. A poor error on the part of Lotus
on an otherwise brilliant layout.

Nice work dude.

I really am weighing up changing the bulbs in mine for higher power non-HID / Xenon ones but that seems an effort (lazy me) as you have to undo 3 screws on the under side of the wheel arch.

After having done all that work can I assume the removal of the wheel arch and bulb replacement is an absolute doddle?

Chris, its easy. You undo the caphead screws directly under the
headlights (in the wheelarch) You need a 5mm allen key or socket.

You dont need to disturb the black plastic wheelarch liner at all.

Remove these then gently wiggle the clear plastic headlamp cover
away and towards the front of the car
