Motorbikes are better fun, but for the craziest thrill seekers. Wife won't let me get one, as she fears a knock on the door from the old bill with hats off and glum faces ...
Might temp Maude with looking at a used "e" you know....

I keep pondering the CB1000R

but equally my XS is enough fun and super agile. It's the ideal bike for me and means one out of 6 vehicles is not Honda. Ahem.

I don't do enough miles on it tbh. WFH means my 3 cars and that bike probably share 6-7k annual.

Mate at work has a booster with a 6. I told him to keep that and get a little leccy knocker to use for shit

Now is the time to buy

Found this, made me laugh. NA mpg for ya

.

Last week I got 55.3mpg.. enough of that! Still find it bizarre the car will return this economy.
That said, I've been doing a lot of thinking about what this cars purpose actually is. It's a bit mean on toys, compared to a 7er or Audi A7.. ideally I would have liked heated rear seats and a digital HVAC for the back seat occupants to fiddle with. Things like HU display, leccy seats and sunroof are optional, as are heated front seats (mine has that thankfully). It has the larger MMI screen and pro nav.
The exclusion of a slippy diff, and the insertion of run flats are what let this car down: you can't really deploy the power in the wet, and although the steering is cleverly calibrated to be heavier it cannot be preset for all modes of driving. Pity.
Overall it's a bit heavy to throw about so it's not the jack of all trades it could be. A visit to Birds fixes that to replace the soft suspension together with an LSD fitting, some 3k later, that I'll never get back. It then opens up the stage 1 route for a usable 425bhp, but I'm struggling to understand the point of that. Engine reliability is not an issue due to the B58's rock solid design , but more wear to consumables due to weight (1500kg) ..
So mini luxury with contemporary interior it remains..
Can you tell I miss my s2000

It's transport.
You are reaching the same conclusion as me lol

What is average mpg?

I got my VED through this week for both S2000. It's now £415 a year for the newer one

£345 for the older, boosted, polar bear ****er

Wgaf? Might sorn both this winter tbh

Average mpg is circa 35 to the gallon - I tend to hammer it on the way home 'cos I get "Hangry"..
Usually we use Doris's Q3 for local stuff - not great being a derv but lately her miles have increased with her NHS work, so it gets it's DPF unclogging thrills..
Big bill coming for the Audi next month ; belt, water pump, 2 Pirelli 19" fronts with alignment (it needs it), MOT and full service. Lucky if I get it all for a bag of sand..
We are discussing swapping it for summat a bit smaller - I've mention the "e" believe it not. But knowing her, she'll opt for a Vee dub (Tiguan).
I will get my way and drive the little electric terrier. One thing though - we don't have a power point on the outside yet !

The e would be perfect for my OH.. she drives across the city in traffic, parks on the road, not big miles

But for that she wants "high up" SUV so takes the CRV

42mpg AVG Vs 300+ and slower

Female = no logic in this case

Great for shooting around the city that car. Mine is the dog wagon and occasional city thing - will use it for work in the winter tho

It's her car, so I'm not that bothered and it will sell...
Dolphin Grey metallic, pan roof, alcantara half leather, S line plus model, heated seats, nav etc etc and full Audi history......
But she mentioned liking the high up driving position. Have to say the seats are nowhere near the comfort I feel from these M sport chairs. Night and day difference!
She also mentioned she has looked at the common Ford eco puma. I said I've also looked at divorce..Sorry 'Fest if you're still hanging around in silence. Too much to go wrong (and plenty does with that thing I've read umpteen times). Shame.. ford build quality never changes, much like Alfa

EcoBoom?

I would never buy owt with a wet belt. Shit idea.

My neighbour has a tranny with that type of motor. He keeps kicking the cab down the road. It will be towed to the scrapper one day soon I reckon.

BMW do comfy seats.

Nav and all shit like that I just use android auto. No out of date maps and I prefer Waze usually anyway.

New cars leave me ice cold but a Lotus still figures for me medium term. I don't think Nina will be very interested in that. She has not been in the boosted S2 yet and i've had it for some.. ahem.. time

Try Here Navigation, free and same Nokia maps as most cars use in the satnav. The thing with Here is that it does its navigation in the app so does not need to use your mobile data allowance. Not perhaps so important in your home country, but great abroad.
