M Roadster
The CSL sounds great, but my problem with it is, it feels like an older generation of car compared to my Z4 C, the car rattled more over bumpy roads and the engine makes more power at the top, but it's at the expense of flexibility lower down the range, due to the different cams, it's prefect for the track.
I can count the amount of laps I've done in a CSL around the ring.
Although not hiring the CSL when I go back next month. I am hiring the R26.R again and taking my M3 around and possibly hiring their 997 GT3. But maybe not.

I'd take the CSL over the Z4M C at the ring, but not on the road
Thanks Blurter; certainly more interesting to know how the car drives than how it looks
I'd imagine it'd make a great Euro tour road muncher.
I've always thought of the newer BMW's as being great engines that are stifled by modern day executive frippery, an automotive comprimise tailored to the shirt and tie brigade; the CSL being the standout.

I know what you mean but fortunately I don't conform to the "typical BMW owner" stereotype.
As I get older I've come to appreciate a little "executive frippery", though it takes nothing away from the excellent drive.

They are 18's, staggered, same size as the original wheels. Front 225, rear 255.
The arch gap on the front looks bigger in the last pic. That's because my drive is slopped and a bit wonky.

Thats right Jim, E46 18's were exactly the right size for the car.
I wanted to stick with the original set up. Having looked at lots of options I decided the multi spoke design best suited black wheels.
IMO 5 spoke wheels do not look best in black because of the open spoke design.
