Default M3s are fast

One of my friend has a DMS tunned M3, but drives like a person who has had a lot of accidents (because he has). I have driven it a few times and obviously its fast, but somehow when you are driving it doesn't really feel that fast...

So anyway, another friend (popular aren't i) was driving it and we had a wee race from the lights. <yank mode> I launched the motor </yank mode> and shot off with a chirp of the tires (bloody yank mode) the M3 flew past and shot off into the distance I could not believe how much faster it was. It wasn't really even a contest. In third gear it side by side the sound and responsiveness really amazed me.

His brother has a CSL, which i haven't driven yet but if the removal if the sound deading etc translates in to a rawer more involing drive i think i might get one

that was interesting wasn't it....

I like them too. Shame it costs an arm and a leg to service one.

Get gears, and a single pipe exhaust, snorkle and decat.

That will even things out a bit!

Realistically tho, the performance defict is so great would those mods signicantlly close the gap, I have trouble believing even a supercharger would put you on even terms....
