Default M5 service

Will update my ownership thread idc

But for those nervous about running an M car (even mine, if I sell it), this might be of interest

Car is at 101K

Performance good as new - a recent 'test' with a CSL confirms

Latest service was an inspection one ('middle' service between oil and inspection two) - coupled with an MOT and the two year brake fluid change

Main agent, of course

Over eighteen months since the last service (during which time I've only had to replace the front pads)

No silly 'repairs' needed, no advice to change brakes or discs

One advisory on the first time pass - a ding in the inner rim of a front alloy (which has been there for two years and doesn't affect the drive one jot)

They must have been really trying, to come up with that one!

Happy Gad

It's going to be cheaper than my Legacy's last one.

I don't think I want to know.

Sounds quite reasonable, especially as it was an inspection I not just the oil.

I tend to look at these things in monthly cost terms vs the quality of the car you are in

so that's a service cost of under £30 a month for the last eighteen months

you've driven my car - doesn't seem expensive does it?

ok, there are other costs to factor into ownership, but overall, it's reasonable for the performance, etc

That is very good value indeed, as you say especially given the performance.

I will have owned the car for four years early next year

I will try and list every penny spent to get a really comprehensive cost of ownership, in total, per month and per mile

And to think we didn't think you'd keep it for that long
