driving along in the fast lane with a nice looking BMW up my tail, I pull over by accelerating into the space in the middle lane, now mines no slouch at these speeds but this car comes past like I had stamped on the brakes, M6 on the boot, are they really that fast?
he nearly stuffed it into the back of the car 10 lengths in front, had the back end squirming and luckily the car in front had the room and sense to move over as the gap became available, it could have been very bad, why do people drive at speed up to cars and just assume they will or can move

You must be thinking of another car. It's "butt" ugly from every front or back.

 

I quite like the shape of the 6 as well. Its weird, if you see a picture of it with the boot up, it looks like the back of a 911, quite funny.

I don't think they are hideous though.

 

Even nicer are the Alpina version and the noise is just incredible. If I could find a decent low mileage convertable Id have one. Suitably rare too (Alpina version that is).
