[QUOTE=veehexx,Aug 8 2008, 06:16 PM] matt black will be 1 of them colours like orange is on the S.
love it or hate it it'll still be reltively rare as normal manufactures wont offer it.
i think it could be the colour for the jap cars.

paint application i presume will be the same as anything else - spray it on as normal.
it's the cost of the paint that would put the price up... think of the

I thought Matt finishes on modern cars are a foil?

The Brabus Bullet is a black 2-pack paint with a matt black foil added afterwards.

Not too durable as a finish (stone chips expose the underlying paint) ...

At least it'll look good when you drive it out of the showroom! Nice.

Stone chips will stand out a Mile on this, not to mention swirls from bad washing

How do you wash matt black cars? You wouldn't be able to claybar them or polish them. Presumably you can't wax them. Any scratches you wouldn't be able to buff out yourself with Scratch-X, or whatever else.

Looks good in the photos, but just seems like a complete sales gimmick, IMO.
