It may be time...
Can you guess yet?
Well, we've only got about 2 months to go until we have a new arrival in the family, and Rebecca is already struggling to get in and out of the S as a result.
When you consider that this will mean we'll no longer be able to go away for weekends as a couple, and in fact whenever we *do* go out it will involve a baby seat, the S suddenly starts to look like an expensive toy that'll sit in the garage for a lot of the time...
So yes, with great regret it may nearly be time to hang up my S2000 keyfob...
I've not completely decided yet, but all of a sudden the practicalities of a Clio or a Corsa seem strangely appealing!!

From your sig you seem to also have a 330d.
Use the BM when you go out with the family and the S2000 to go to work.
I've got a friend you sold his 911 when their first baby arrived to buy an estate (C-class AMG) for the same reasons as yourself. 3 years later and with another baby now, he is driving an SL55 and his wife has the family car - that works out fine for them

If you are going to give up a decent car just because you have fulfilled your genetic purpose and are just waiting to die, you might as well just get a volvo and be done with it.

Noooo! Anyone done a 'stretched' S mod, with room for a second set of seats?
I suppose the key question is how much driving do you do on your own compared to how much do you do when there's both of you there?

alex, know the feeling
but with us the car was purchased on my wifes orders when she was 2 months pregnant!!
we did 7000 miles from april to october 2006 when son was born.
since last october i've done 2000 miles almost entirely on my own which does make a very high cost per mile...
however we do ideally need 2 cars so doenst matter if 1 has only 2 seats
