Cheers Nick.
Nottm, yep, and race support / entries on top. Hence a bitter pill to swallow having nothing to show for it
Might be able to claw a couple of grand back from the old engine.

Mark - let's hope it's all your bad luck for the season in one go
If not, it will become a sickener pretty quickly
Good luck for the next race and the rest of the season

Thanks Gad, hope so too or I'm not really up for it.
Rich, yep I've got to tick that box I think, and will see how it goes from there.

Was very impressed watching practice sessions Mark and looked like a pro pit crew.
Sorry to hear the race did not result so well.
Best foot forwards

Evo had their engine let go in a 420 but apparently they didn't keep the oil level up, being an S2 driver I doubt that was your issue
i think it lasted 5k miles or something scary (from new!) but then if it was low oil they are fugwits. I never trust oil level gauges, the one in our cash cow does nothing (didn't tell the Dorris it was low). The BM one works but then there is no alternative so it bloody needs to!
Hope it becomes a lot more fun next time out dude

Thanks chaps.
So this weekend is Spa, and had a couple of test sessions today in advance of qualifying and Race 1 tomorrow.
Not a bad day, and the sun even came out. No idea where I am time wise but quicker than a couple of my team mates I believe but still 3 second off what is likely to be a pole time. Vbox says i can get to 1:145.5 if I can sort out terminal understeer at Malmedy, Rivage ans Stavelot! Stavelot really key as its flat from there all the way to La Source hairpin and costing a lot of time.
But it's all about learning this year. Continually getting quicker too. Only worry is thunder storms are predicted tomorrow, and my wet experience is limited to about 15 laps in this car
We shall see what tomorrow brings.
60 car grid too, as we're mixed with Caterham Supersports, which is going to be interesting.

Good luck, hope the car stays in one piece and you're avoided like the guy who farts in a lift
