Because someone had filmed the aftermath of workers and Unions on a mobile phone-so they had some cheap pics

They [those layed off - NOT SACKED] were complaining that the Union hadn't informed them earlier and they had known about this before Xmas. retty obvious the Union is looking after those on full contract and quite right as well.

someone will get in to trouble for that - the whole site is non mobile ... i remember 6 years ago we had the 'plans' for the newmini and convertable - took 4 years till it was out!! to be honest the people i know on contract there and by bmw.. are not really being treated well.. they 'are' being paid for plant closure BUT have to pay it back with free overtime when its needed....
