As long as this class was in addition to and not replacing F1, where's the harm.

For Gran Turismo 5, Polyphony asked Adrian Newey to design an F1 car for a "no holds barred" formula. He produced the Red Bull X2010 that you can see in this video. I doubt a driver could sustain the g-forces this thing would pull ...
