As long as this class was in addition to and not replacing F1, where's the harm.

Showcase the ultimate in technology.

And they could always wear G-Suits...

It's all about overcoming the problems they encounter. Should make for some interesting developments in lots of different areas.

For Gran Turismo 5, Polyphony asked Adrian Newey to design an F1 car for a "no holds barred" formula. He produced the Red Bull X2010 that you can see in this video. I doubt a driver could sustain the g-forces this thing would pull ...
