Default Motocross bikes

Evening all

Been pottering around on the XR125 on the road a lot, but fancied a bit of off road, was getting bored of the S aswell, rude not to

Honda CR125 2 stroke

Already sacked off the knackered Bar grips for some new Easton (sp) ones.

Goes like stink for a 125!!!

Anyone else got any?

Tom

They do! Geared for acceleration but it'll only do about 50 top speed if that. I used to have a DT125 YEIS it used to do 90 with me down on the tank but I put a huge sprocket on the back so it would wheelie really easily.

2 stroke is great! Shame all the new bikes, even the new 125's are now ecopeds with 4 strokers, no fun in them at all.

I love the smell of two stroke fumes.

The front pipe isn't looking too well in all honesty, are these FMF Fatty or DEP pipes worth the money?

I was tempted at one point to get one as my two boys ride them occasionally, but they are targeted by thiefs where we live,we got burgaled a week after Xmas and they took both bikes :-(( garyb sorted my eldest out with a kx65,which was a massive help.
Here's a few pics of my lads bikes.

If we hadn't of been burgaled,I would definitely have one

Take care with these bikes and always wear the full gear when playing on them like the little lad in the picture. Reason I say this is I just finished a job for a spinal nurse who said these type of bikes are the worst offenders in her experience for getting people in a wheelchair (had 3 friends paralysed in 3 years on her ward!).

She particularly singled out motor cross bikes so have fun but be careful out there folks.

I had a cr250, race spec engine built by Terry Rudd with FMF gold fatty pipe and full TRM graphics. It was beautiful, and as my 500 racing friend put it "an absolute animal"

I wasn't even scratching the surface so I sold it. The guy who bought it drove his v8 RR 450 miles from Glasgow. When he asked to test it "hold this for me son" as he rolled up his left sleeve, removed the cast from his broken wrist and handed it to his son, before kick starting it and sodding off down the field on the back wheel. It went to a suitable home.
