Big thanks to Paul for the free tickets to MPH06

We went last night to Olympia and strolled in for a good nose around. Decent car show going on there, much more sporty than the motorshow was - mostly

Isn't that just what Max Power used to pretend they didn't organise in the early 90's? Except not you pay for it and Jeremy Clarkson is there?

That's exactly it.. Although better cars.

Take the motor show.
Remove the boring cars.
Add an indoor supermarket carpark.
Go a bit nutty..

It also had pyrotechnics and some very good 3D stuff - Think 3D Apache chasing a real Jag around (I got shot at and almost fell off my seat from one of the missiles).

I would agree the ticket price is very steep but considering we were on a freebie and were already in London who is going to complain?! It was awesome

I went to the show at the NEC last week. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Especially the 3D glasses show with the XKR being chased by the helicopter.

The NEC had 3 ENZO's on display . The large majority of the cars were all behind rails. I asked nicley if i could take a few pics and the lovley looking lady said certainly. So I was able to get some close up shots of a Black Enzo, SLR, Murchilargo & Gallardo. but I was under strict orders to not touch any of them.

Got to sit in the Origional 'kit' from Night Rider - best moment of my life

Sat in the passenger seat of a Murchilargo (sp) I'm 5ft 5, the seat was all the way back and my feet touched the bottom of the foot well!

One thing I have notice with the large majoriity of the Show cars is the poor polishing of the cars and awful swirl marks. I've seen much better condition cars from owners on this forum. The Auto Glym classic austin Martin looked sh*t

Whoa! Easy tiger! No question popping just yet mate!

We did all the usual touristy things: Empire State, Top of the Rock, Times Square plus a helicopter ride and a load of shopping

Also ate at some amazing places:

DB Bistro - The best burger I've ever tasted (including foie gras and black truffles!)

Tao - Good food, great atmosphere

The River Cafe - Possibly the most awesome view you will get from any restaurant in the world. It's down by Brooklyn Bridge and it was like being in the picture of the New York skyline that I've got in my living room! Also does a bloody good fillet steak...!

Will have to catch up properly soon - I'm off to cast my vote for the date of the CLPM Christmas Bash...
