The production was superb, like Top Gear only longer and with pyrotechnics
. Worth it for the show, the exhibition on the other hand was fairly dull.
Lots of tuning companies like overfinch and project kahn showing off their range rovers and mclaren SLRs. In all honesty I would have liked to see more manufacturers rather than dealers trying to flog supercars and tuners flogging cars with 21" wheels. I like supercars but seeing them in the flesh for some reason isn't as exciting as I'd hoped it would be
Highlights of the exhibition were
Jag XF would like to see how it drives, looks okay but not exciting James May said he'd driven it and had been very impressed. Still not thrilled by it though!
The Fiat 500, this is just a stunning wee car somehow manages to be more stylish than a mini but for fiat money. For it's size it fits an awful lot in it. If we need a runabout and it drives as well as it's reported to, we're buying one.
The Porsche Sportster replica makers Tygan, I bloody love these lilttle things basically an old beetle chassis with VW golf innards and the exterior of a porsche speedster with handmade interior. Totally impractical but just so lovely it made my heart skip with excitement, I want one
.
The Vauxhall VXR8, it's a shame I couldn't find a dealer that could sell me one as the interior is just lovely and it's supposed to drive really very well. I had a chat with one of the Vauxhall management types and explained the problems I had that led me to walk away and they were disappointed but weren't massively surprised.
Worth the trip but only once
. Next year I think we'll go to the British Motor Show though.

Unfortunately I also frequent other car forums and have seen a handful of pictures already, I wish others could keep pics to themselves so I get the chance to spoil things
How long did it take you to see all the exhibition stands?
My tickets to the performance are for the 6.30 viewing. Don't want to turn up too early and find theres not enough to see.....

Doubt it'll take you more than 2 hours to get round the stands problem with the later shows is that you turn up when the place is already mobbed but you'll get to see the stands at their quietest and will get a really good look at the cars you liked earlier on.
Dan, don't have too many photos but I have a few, wont show photos of the actual show because that's unfair to those that still have to go although I do have a video of something really quite breathtaking.
I'll post up pics of some of the cars I liked when I can be bothered

I think there are more show / exhibition stands at NEC than London, so NEC may take a bit longer to view.
Perhaps we'll give ourselves another 30/45 minutes. My guess may get quite tired walking about for hours anyway so I guess that should be enough.....
