Default N.O.I.P

I won't go into detail - but I recieved a Notice of Intended Prosecution by way of
recorded delivery

So they have my registration/address details - however the reg on the Notice is half wrong i.e the last 3 digits are completely wrong.

So, does anyone Know whether this gives room for manouver or am I still fooked.

I think you might be lucky. Got a feeling that if anything on the NIP is incorrect it's not legally binding.

Could be wrong though........lawyers????

There's a web forum that deals with exactly this sort of thing, but I can't for the life of me remember the url.

Hopefully someone will pop along and post it for you.

www.ABD.org ?

I'm with Spuff on this - Satan's in the smallprint.

Dunno whether it's best to let them know 'that is not my vehicle' now or at the hearing.

Were you in the area of the 'crime' at the time that they are claiming you were?

Pepipoo, I think - can't remember the URL though. A quick Google will doubtless find it.

Could just be a typo in entering the registration number. I think it certainly justifies asking for a copy of whatever evidence they have. Not my field though so I'm not able to offer an informed legal view....
