To be honest, 90%+ of boxster buyers won't give a crap about the steering. It's just journos and car enthusiasts that will mourn the old steering.

That's very true. My mum owns one, for example!

I think the Cayman will have to look pretty good to top the Boxster.

Just managed to spec one up for £57500

£13k of extras which i'd say were fairly essential.

£13K's worth of essential extras?

I know what you mean. I specced up a Cayman I'd actually want. It was over 60k.

If I was to spend 60k on a Porsche it wouldn't be a Boxter, nor a Cayman!

Still doesn't really float my boat. All the ingredients are there for an excellent sports car, but for some reason I'm not bothered with the Boxster. I'd much rather jump in a Z4 or Elise

Monkeys review was interesting. Why have they gone eps? I really don't understand that decision.
Uses less fuel, so good for CO2 figures, which is better for company car purchases. Only 190/182 for the standard model.
How much less fuel? Really?

Yes, but there's a certain type of company car buyer who can bore one shitless - even about a Porsche, when its theirs.

Up to 4%, according to this: http://automobile.motionforum.net/t1...ing-saves-fuel

I'm a big fan - it looks nice!

I actually think it's looking less MR2 than the older models did and has come more into its own but each to their own.
