I'm not a fan of the Turbo Porsche or many Turbo'd cars, I'd go for the GT3 instead. The Porsche Turbo is 4WD and I'm more of a purist, 2WD all the way baby
The GT3 has less power, 355BHP I think, but it's the next one I'd like. In a couple of years of course
I was lead to believe that the GT3, while a wonder on the track, was awful on the road due to the (im-)practicality of such things as clutch, suspension, ride height....

Has someone been feeding me a line here?

It (the GT3) is an absolute beauty though.

No your right, sort of.
The GT3 RS is considered to firm for the road, the standard GT3 is meant to be ok
I'd go for a the old version (99) and not the new one too.

Yes, thanks for that, Sub.

I think it is probably the most helpful 911 write-up I've ever read. Most "testers" are usually so far up Porsche's arse, the reports are meaningless, as they never criticise anything! Let alone make comparisons to a car such as the S2000.

I might even be tempted to take an entry-level 911 out myself sometime!

Sometimes I'm not sure I should post any comments on the S2000 board regarding other cars I

As far as I'm concerned, you're welcome here for as long as you want to post, Sub - personally, I find it helpful to get a take on a new car from someone who is familiar with and can therefore compare it with or rate it against the S.

Do it Nick.

I've taken out a Carrera 4S for a test on 2 occaisions. Its a fantastic piece of machinery.

I'd have one in a second but don't do debt so it'll have to wait 2 or 3 more years.

You will love it though.
