still toying with the racing clutch and 130bhp remap or chop it in for something else, hard to replace with something similar as there's not much around that's fun, light, rwd and cheap to run other than the vx/elise thing which i've already done.

Laughed at evo report on M6 Cabrio. 210kg (!) heavier than regular M6. Be even funnier if the difference is greater with the M car than the cooking 650 model.

1250Kg for a two seat sports car? Not great is it? IIRC the MX5 and the likes of TVRs are more like 1000Kg.

Creature comforts yes, but the Elise isn't light because of the lack of aircon, electrics windows, central locking, cup holders etc.

We need an all aluminium S2K with 275 horses from our little VTEC number. That should shut the Elises, Poxters and z350 lardys up IMO.

A major component of our weight is the X-bone chassis. And that's what gives us rigidity without sills we have to vault over.

I love the look of the Brera so took out a 4WD 3.2V6. Its a stunner, turns heads like you wouldn't believe and the engine note is excellent.
Pity it drives like a 100,000 mile Vectra. As for the dealers...

All modern cars bar the kits are too heavy, because people are obsessed with crashing them.

Maybe if they were more dangerous, people might concentrate upon what they're doing.

...and because they are obsessed with working in front of them.

Look left, look right, look left again... muppets.

I for one do not give a **** if my car is NCAP Pedestrian friendly.

(ps sorry to all the little people)

That's a really good point Nick, and not confined to crap drivers.

I had a company Mondeo for a week last winter which had TC and completely insulated the driver. It was so easy to drive and communicated so little that you just ended up driving it far too fast everywhere, especially in the icy conditions.
