New job!
As it's called "Performance" tuner, how about lots of sleeper cars. Ie an S that looks stock, but has been tuned to the max.
Track tests of a CTR versus an S2000. I'd like to offer my services as a driver

Sounds good, just don't end up like Track and Race Car seem to have done - "we'll plug anyone's stuff for a freebie" and "We're so grateful for a test we'll say your car is great regardless".
Well, that's how it seems to me, anyway.

No chance. I want this to be a well-regarded mag among the driving enthusiasts out there. Think Evo/Performance Car back in the 1990s/early 2000s and we should be getting close.
LOTS of features on old performance cars. Groups tests. Head to heads. No bloody selling our soul for some advertising (I hope). I am not and never have been a chav boy racer and so the mag will reflect that.
It's a big challenge...
And yes, forums (notably this one) will be part of the scene I am hoping to encapsulate. So keep your peepers peeled!
(Strange, Nick G, I always thought there was an umlaut... maybe I've seen it somewhere written down with one. I stand humbly corrected though!

Heh, bloody German grammar, I'm hardly no good at Inglish meself...
C7BLE - wow, did you really?! If I'm not being too gullible, that was rather good of you. I hope TBMW goes on as it is, I love the mag and think it deserves to continue.
Chilled - in response to your earlier post, that's EXACTLY the sort of thing we're looking for, that CTR v S2000 thing was actually an idea I pitched to them. I want to do an entire series, things like:
CTR v S2000 v NSX - did Honda make enough of a gap between them? On road driving and track work/timing runs to see exactly where these myths start.
Fast Fords - Sierra Cosworth v Escort Cosworth v Focus RS. Are old Fords really better than new?
E36 M3 v E36 M3 Evo - is the 3.2 really as bad as people make out?
Audi quattro v RS4 - why did it take Audi so long to get it right again? Is the older car capable of entertaining with 414bhp V8 model present?
Clio Williams v RenaultSport Clio 182 - was the original best?
And so on and so on. All these kinds of things, with new car road tests, track day events, meetings, driver technique articles and tech features. I tells ya, sign up to this baby and we could go far!

And in the editor's opinion, the S2000 is the BESTEST CAR EVER, like...
