I got mine from Gatwick Mercedes and found them pretty good. They matched the best internet price I could find and sorted out the parking sensor problem I had a couple of months ago (at the 3rd attempt!)

It's that which makes them intrinsically unreliable, and makes them appear impressive to drive by masking many of the inadequacies of the basic design.

German cars are nowadays completely filled with Farking Ridiculous Electronic Devices.

Very girlie, was along side one today (in a courtesy jazz) so I could see in side as well.
It was a guy driving, not the 200 or 350 but somewhere in between.

Interesting you should say that, my Skoda is suffering from a series of electrics problems, as did my sisters Golf and a little bit of googling says that the whole of the new batch of VAG cars have utterly unreliable electrics.
I suppose a part of the reason for that is that German cars built up their reputation for reliability here as they were being compared to British, French and Italian built cars due to the protectionist racket of the EU.
In the USA, the Japs had no such restrictions and consumers there appreciated the quality and affordability.
The old TT was the worst performing car in the Which? reliability survey by a mile with something like 25% suffering breakdowns, usually of electrics. Even the Latins usually manage somewhere near 85% reliability...
...but the interior is so good, Bauhaus, Baseball stiching blah blah blah./
