Maybe he should have spent some of that time at the gym....
Getting back to his natural weight has got to be cheaper and worth at least another 100Bhp

I would suspect it's a pretty bad idea on the S without some fairly hefty surgery.

The S is already fairly temperature sensitive. One of the key early issues was with #4 piston cracking and causing an engine seizure. The countermeasure was increased oil supply to the pistons which implies the problem was temperature related and they're trying to cool it more aggresively.

The basic operating principle of Nitrous Oxide is to increase the oxygen concentration in the chamber. This leads to higher temperatures that in turn lead to the higher pressures in the bore that give the performance increase.

Increasing temperature exposure of the piston in a case where it is known to be sensitive would seem to be a very bad idea to me

I've seen lots of corsas, astras etc with NoS badges on them. So they must have it fitted right? Wicked fast rides man.

interesting fact... the chap with the MR2 is a member of another forum I post on. He spent an age stripping his car down and rebuilding it making it absolutely immaculate....
even more interesting is that he blew his engine on the way back from filming with the BBC.

He claims he spent 15k getting his engine up to 300BHP.

You can do with a standard MR2 turbo rev3 for about

is it a bit risky on a high compression engine? i remember reading somewhere that NoS is rated in horsepower jets so a 50hp shot will give you that no matter what engine you fitted it to.

and have you seen the RC craze with mini superchargers and NoS

rc nos

supercharged rc

there is some wierd stuff out there

I used to have an MR2 turbo and still keep an occasional eye on this forum.
