the NSX interior looks its age, but I can't see that there's anything really wrong with it
what do people expect? it is not a modern car
I'd still take the interior over that of a same date 911 - now that's what I call badly dated
in fact it was rubbish when new!

Prior to the 996, the interior was a german joke - painful. But one is not permitted to criticise the 911.

If you look at my recent posts you'll notice I think the 996 and 993 is dated too, but I'm not blind to the fact it's dated by a sort of unconditional I see no flaws loyalty, nor do I try and justify it as a golden age of form and functionality.
Interiors of cars have never bothered me much, mainly because of the type of car it is.
It does sometimes baffle me when someone looks at a road going racer or other such thing and also wants a plush interior.
Function over form.
The Exige interior is perfection to me
If the NSX was meant to be a Mercedes / BMW competetor, maybe it would be full of wood and leather dash trim.
It's not so it hasn't.
I actually like 911 interiors too. I like that rectanglular passenger dash thing, it's very German

The ur-911 had awful ergonomics and that made it dated. Although the 986's driving position is superior to the 996's, the ergonomics are still very good. Porsche were going through a wonderfully swoopy- and bonkers by german standards design phase - which I quite like.
The 997s have more modern, duller plastics, but the design has reverted to a more boring, sober design. Excellent enough, but more dated in inspiration than the more dated design!
