NSX
The thing with NSX's is that to do anything, it looks like it'll be an engine out job
Ok, engine out - PITA, but not impossible?
Nope - having worked on MR2's, the engine will have to come out of the bottom meansing that unless I had a ramp - i'd be b0ll0cksed
Stunning car, awesome noise, totally rare.
Hmm, time will tell....

I drove behind one a few weeks back on the local mad mile the last
time I had the car out, for a while I didn't know what it was.
Looked old mainly the wheels, nice sight though. Used to be a Honda
dealer (Robert Bowetts) a few hundred yards from where I live, I
remember seeing one for the first time. The Senna link made it seem
more special.

Almost wish I'd gone for an NSX over the Exige.
Better take the Exige out later and remind myself why I bought it

Ron, although your knowledge is excellent, sometimes you come across like one of those old duffers who insists the Morris Marina was a good car because of its simple maintenance! Actually, once I did have an old c unt give me that very lecture whilst I was admiring a 308GT4 (I'd got the same doorhandles, at least!) and I very nearly threw him into the sea and he went away.
Anyway, what I meant was this is a Honda, not some itie or sauerkraut crap that is always falling to bits and only a proctor can find its engine.
NSX servicing costs are no more than an S2000 in most respects. Admittedly, the belt change is a right kerfuffle and costs accordingly. I mean, part of the Acura/Honda appeal is that all of that precious nonsense is thrown out of the window and the car can be a weekend queen or a daily driver.
This is an excellent thread and the Murray on NSX link is very useful.
I have always held the NSX in god like regard and would love to own one, but as previously stated the 911 has the advantage of some rear seats.

F&*k rear seats
The NSX isn't a shopping cart\school run mobile.
Buy the NSX for yourself and buy the missus an eco-box to deal with kids and groceries and such like; Job done
A car like the NSX is selfish indulence as far as I'm concerned; Long live selfish indulgence

A truly special car IMO and one I'll always hanker after.
I'm ashamed to admit it, but the complete misunderstanding by the "But it's not German, and it's only got 270bhp" brigade just makes it even more appealing to my inner snob.

IKWYM.
And the "the interior's a bit dated" instead of "a paragon of ergonomic functionality" promotes it well above vacuous fashion victim territory!
I even fine the Acura badge a bit pompous. Although that's so crass, it's sort of humourous.
