I don't think I have seen this before. If you haven't, then enjoy...

Nice car, nice lap. Even at 18 years since introduction still reckon it could put a few of today's new supercars shame with regard to handling, weight & track driving experience. Just that it doesn't have that supercar "cachet".

Not sure I agree.
The acid test should really be how fast it goes round a track. Somewhere like the Nurburgring
So if you look at the 7 mins 56 seconds that Gan San managed way back in 2002.... in the NSX R NA2.

You start looking at stuff like F430 F1 a whole second quicker, 996 turbo a bit slower, 360 Modena etc.
What it does for me is prove that the NSX is one hell of a car even given its age.
Even the NA 1 was 8 mins 3 seconds.
It can't be compared to Hypercars like the Zonda and Veyron. I think its in the Ferarri 360 / 430 / 911 turbo territory.

Says who?
I'm not sure there's an actual definition. (cost / bhp etc)
And even so, it's totally unfair fair to compare such an old design to modern hyper or supercars - but I think it does bloody well.
To keep up with some of the stuff it does with a little 3 litre and only about 300 bhp is good going. it was always ahead of its time.
11 seconds off the big lambo isnt bad considdering the age and power gap.
The only old car which I think could compete is the Mclaren F1.
So in summary I don't see what your point is
