They re-ran the stock, base model car and came up with 7:29.
V-spec out soon. And the Lexus LFA is supposed to be quicker.
Give it a year and lets see what the Germans can come back with.

Have you got this months car mag? Lots of stuff on Porsches and lots of them with nurburg track times, 2003 996 Turbo was 7.04 secs although it was a race version .
Carreara Gt is 7.28 so that beats it

I did buy CAR mag this month, was a good read if you like your Porsches.
I'm a fan, but the GT-R seems a good bang-for-buck car.
Can only imagine what the 998 Turbo will be like if Nissan has set this as a benchmark.
The GT2 is already quicker than the CGT.
The LFA is racing in the Nur 24 hours. Apparently it ran a 9.06 (inc F1 track) during the race. That's damn quick (but will be race tyres and no interior).
