Default Odd tyre wear

My offside front tyre shoulder has worn down to the canvas

The drivers side one is fine

Now to my mind that can be caused by too much camber or too much toe on that side. Are there any other things that could cause it that I haven't thought about?

Very annoyed.

Most obvious call has to be geo set up

This could point ot another issue eg suspension bushes etc failing if the wear is significantly (which it sounds it) different

Inner of outer shoulder though?

Inner may be excess toe or camber.
Outer may be too many roundabouts

I would think anything more serious and you would feel it in the handling.

offside is driver's side

Ran that through my head a few times just to make sure I wasn't going mad.

So assuming Mark means nearside is trashed, then I would say probably caused by hard cornering on trackdays & roundabouts.

The tracking / geo bit I'm not so sure about, lets say with the steering wheel straight, the drivers side wheel is straight & the passenger side is out, when you drive along wouldn't it sit somewhere inbetween, i.e. both wheels as straight as possible?

Which would mean both would be worn?

Tyre pressure could be a contributing factor.

Sorry, don't know my off from near it would appear.

Passenger side front is the one that's worn oddly.

Going to get to get a kds (BMW geo) asap and some new tyres. Need all 4 tyres at the moment

From the picture it looks like the inner edge of the nearside front tyre that's worn.

Do you have a lot of those little road humps (the one's you can straddle with the wheels either side) round your way? They are notorious for causing this sort of wear.
Have you checked the rear tyres for similar wear?

My S used to waer the inside edges (although not to the same extent as that and the same on both sides).

As Gad says there would be a long list of issues.. could be camber, a failed or failing bush on the n/s/f suspension etc. If a wheel bearing were that bad as to cause that amount of wear I would expect it to be accompanied by plenty of noise...

When you say that the o/s/f is "fine" is it not worn on the inside edge at all or just not as bad?
