Hope my car is in as good nick as this in a few years, it was great driving down to the MOT station, got more attention than my S2000

1963 10700 miles from new






And I thought my engine bay was clean,




Underneath is just as clean,

That's just not been used though

I want to keep my S2 pristine but its not a garage queen in that way. My engine bay is average too

That's been restored they where never that good new.

Ha you are partly right, the guy who first owned the car only had it to go on holiday with, but his wife said it was to big, so he sold it to his neighbour who was paranoid it was going to rot away, so when it was 3 years old it was stripped down to a bare shell and fully repainted it, then rebuilt it greasing every thing as he went,and that's the way it's being ever since, so technically it hasn't being restored, more preserved before it got that far,
every thing on the car is original to the car,

but I do prefer patina on old cars

it makes owning them far less stressful too
