My pet peev is the w&^$&rs who insist on driving at 40mph everywhere.
On Thursday I was going from Hemel Hempstead to Leighton Buzzard, stuck behind a twat doing 40 in the national speed limit areas. Then when he gets to a 30 zone he continues to drive at 40 where as the rest of us (4 in the queue and me at the back) slowed to 30. Once out of the 30 back into the national speed limit area we catch up to the muppet.
There is a straight peice of road ahead an I VTEC it and overtake all 4 of them. The muppet then flashes me and gives me athe w&%^er sign.

People do not like being overtaken, and believe it's their job to police your speed. The amount of people who stick to 40mph on national speed limit roads these days astounds me.

They would not pass their driving test doing that.

Especially by sports cars that can actually accelerate quickly to reduce the TED (time exposed to danger).
Most of these people are driving smog producing diesels or vans with windows (MPV's).

I had to educate a colleague of mine, who genuinely believed that the speed limit on a single lane NSL road was 40 mph.

The other evening, I had a middle aged guy in a Volvo Cabriolet (don't know the model, or care) behind me. It was rush hour, very busy, and we were on the A20, a 2-lane dual carriageway, in the right hand lane. We go through a few traffic lights and I notice he is pretty close to me, not tailgating as such but closer than he should be.

We get towards Sidcup, just before the A20 turns into the M20. Traffic still heavy, I have a few cars in front of me and we're moving past a line of cars in the left lane and I can see matey behind getting more impatient and starts tailgating. One by one the cars in front move over....I pass the last car and before I can move over, matey has floored his waft-mobile and screamed up the inside

I'm actually quite amused as I know there's a speed camera coming, but no he knows too, and slams his brakes on so I pull alongside him. He then moves across to the slip road and exits, and looks over, giving me evils when he goes.

I just smiled and gave a big wave TBH I didn't know what else to do, I was utterly bewildered by what he did.
