Nice review. I somehow quite like the overall shape.

Excellent write-up and congratulations. It does look very nice and seems to handle well too. I have not personally driven one but then I am not in the market for a coupe otherwise it would be top of my list too. Car looks very clean too so well done on that.

I prefer a comparison like you have done as it demonstrates that you are a petrol-head and not just loyal to one marque, same as me. Wish you the best to run in and enjoying it.

Just an observation, if you downsize the pics or insert links instead it would help reading your post as I had to scroll constantly left to right.

Sounds good mate, and nice pics - is it in seal grey? I really like the looks of the Cayman now, I've seen a few of them on the road and it's a very classy little car. I'm still undecided as to whether to go for a Cayman S or a facelifted 996 (with the 3.6 engine) 911. The 911 is about 15k cheaper, but doesn't have as comprehensive a warranty as a new 911.

Will organise test drives of both in the next few weeks and make up my mind.

A few questions from the pics you've posted:
  • Are those bi-xenons, or just singles? Look like singles to me. I was worried the singles would look gash.
  • Any reason you didn't go for sat nav? I hear the Cayman's is very very good, and I really fancy it for my next car.
  • What options did you go for, and are there any you would consider essential? PASM was on my list.

I'm really thinking about Speed Yellow if I buy one. I like to be different, and although silver, grey and black are sure to help resale I do keep hankering after the cheeky yellow.

Cheers,

That car also has the sport-chrono pack which I would consider essential.
I'd also specc'ed the Sports steering wheel and short shifter + sport seats.

on both points.

Great pics and very objective review. I would love one in white, but fear it would be financial suicide. I also prefer the look of the 19's but I'm sure you omitted them for good reason.

Enjoy

Actually looks very smart.

I like the wheels - they suit the car, whereas on all the Boxter Ss I've seen, the wheels look far too big & very ugly.
