Picked up the S3 :)
Interesting what you say about good audi service - when I had an S3 every dealer was shockingly awful, and about 1-2 years ago a friend had massive problems with Audi warranty, but perhaps they've been listening to the bad stories, or you've got a really good dealer
Car looks lovely, always had a soft spot for S3's since I had mine!

I've got a bit of a soft spot for the S3 too, but never owned one, looked into it a few times
It's the sort of car which I'd use every day, feels secure and planted on the road in all weathers thanks to 4WD , has mile munching ability, cross country pace and great interior.
It's also a good size and well built, there

Just had a TTS (same engine) before my latest S.
Surprisingly rapid and torquey motor. Some lag between manual gearchanges (without being brutal) though, so S-Tronic definately the way to go (despite the weight) to minimise that. Usual Audi solid build inside and out. Whilst the car is fairly heavy (but for some good reasons - Quattro & S-Tronic) and the steering not the most tactile, the surefootedness of the Quattro does more than compensate. Looking back now, I'd sooner have had the S3 than the TTS.... but then again, that's just me liking the more understated look..... I only bought the TTS cos I do like some roof-down action: that said, I just felt a little bit hair-dressery in that car (as that hooligan (
) Subaru 2000 cruelly reminded me when I mentioned coming on the Nth Yks 01/03/09 meet over on the TT Forum
) FWIW, I think you've got yourself a great little car there
I actually very recently visited my local Audi place to get a new key programmed (and the existing one RE-programmed) for the TTS and was
at the improvement in their level of dealer service over the last few years (I bought a few new Audis off them 98-02 or so). They could NOT have been more pleasant, helpful and efficient. Well done Teesside Audi
As others here rightly say, maybe this has more than a little to do with their strong sales figures.
