as you drive faster, it seemed as though the steering wheel changes, in how easy it is to turn it... can anyone elaborate as to what is going on? is it just less of power assistance as the speeds increase?
thanks

Bro, how long have you been driving? That's the case with any car. Go find a '91 CRX Si. Bitchin' little car...manual steering though. Drive in 1st-2nd gear around a parking lot and feel what a pain in the ass it is to turn. Then take that same car out on the highway at like 95 mph. You'll notice it's not the S2000 alone. At that speed, you only have to barely tilt the wheel to make any changes in direction. It's 'cause you're just travelling much faster, so the changes seem to come a lot faster with minimal effort. You don't notice the difference in distance that you traveled...that's all...

ankur,

Your post is a little confusing. Have had several cars that had variable assist power steering. At slow speed you have much more assist so steering is easily and at higher speeds less assist so more road feel. I thank the S2000 has this, though electronically assist.

well my 98 mustang gt had a power rack and pinion that adjusted the power assist as you went from slow to fast, at slow speeds the power helps alot, but at higher speeds the assist goes away and i can better feel the road...
