That's good to hear, thanks. The S2000 isn't THAT overservoed compared to most modern cars, but the Porsche was another level.

Agreed, the S2000 is certainly quite assisted, but nothing compared to my friend's Golf R which I drove the other day, where the brakes were like an on/off button!

They are a lovely thing, i can recall a time when they were going for 10k. No chance of that now sadly. Got chatting to a bloke around here who did a nut and bolt rebuild on an AWD Jensen Interceptor, that was also a thing of beauty ... that and the Gull Wing Mercedes 300 parked next to it. Really like the small car shows down here and the people who attend them, owned, maintained and driven. Not locked away in some moisture controlled bubble.

@Squicker the 997 turbo and 981 spyder is an epic combo. Maybe some of the best drivers cars around. And different enough to warrant the garage space.

It looks a lot of car, enormous wheels etc but I cannot help but feel it's more GT, like the Aston. He also has a 993 I think, a classic, the new one is like it's bodybuilder dad.

This is what I mean.. it's not a sports car anymore

One could say the same for the S2000 compared to the S600…

All cars have gotten bigger/heavier.
