Definitely a Mk2, engine size no idea. Our next door neighbour sold one on eBay stating it "starts first time every time", it actually only started once in the time they had it despite several attempts to start it, it also had to be pushed on to the buyers trailer...

The guy had a plastic leg in later years lost in the WW2! he restored it himself.
He restored his own leg? That is so cool!! Beats restoring old cars.
Funny I thought that. Shame he did all that restoration work on it only to lose it in WW2.

Now this one is a rare jag according to the DVLA there are only 9 of these left in the uk and only 4 taxed.
It's a 1973 series 1 XJ12 long wheelbase, they were only built for 6 months then the series 2 came out.

Jaguar E2A by the looks of it? I thought it was a D Type until I thought about it but then remembered the fin on the rear of the D type. My dads mate has one which he restored myself

E2A was only a prototype between the D Type and E Type though IIRC?

Yep, XJ13, it was built to race at Le Mans but it never made it there. They only produced one and I believe it is currently owned by the Jaguar Heritage Club, based at Gaydon. Latest estimates put its value at a cool $18m! lol!

I think it is the most beautiful car Jaguar ever produced, or any manufacturer for that matter.

Jaguar Anorak off...
