I think it would be acceptable to rebadge it as an HSV.

If however you also add a Type R badge on the boot, Turbo badges on the winges etc then that would be very wrong...

Stick M3 badges on it like every other tw@t on the roads

Nah, I think you should go HSV. Afterall, it doesn't say vauxhall anywhere on the vx220 turbo...

Rebadging is okay, just so long and you don't badge "up" it's okay. For example having a 325 Sport and then sticking M3 badges on it is a bit social in my book.

You mention the seats are branded as well. Having those would bug me. I remember some Golf's had badges on their leather seats, and it was quite an easy job to remove the centre panel with the badging on it, and swap it over. Might be worth looking into it, if you do become that fussed about it.

That's true; like putting Dubs on a 316 is a bit like having "Loser" tattood on your forehead.

But to recap, this car could be inter alia; a Bitter, Holden, HSV, Irmscher, Opel, Pontiac, Vauxhall...

I'd put it on Lithium, just to be safe...

Nothing wrong with it, since it's got no right to wear v*uxhall badges in the first place.

I love seeing low-rent BMW's with M3 and M5 badges on them. It cracks me up.
